Sampoong Pharm (API)

Since its founding in 1968, Sampoong Pharm Co., Ltd. has built synthesis technology and production experience in the API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) field, starting with the manufacture of methylephedrine hydrochloride, a key raw material for domestic cold medicines, and later expanding into the manufacture and sale of anhydrous caffeine, tramadol, and cyproheptadine.

Hannong Polymer (Adhesives)

Maxbond has built rich technology and know-how in the adhesives field since 1972, evolving under the Maxbond name from Yangji Trading through Hannong Polymer, Dongbu Fine Chemical, Dongbu CNI, and Dongbu Electronic Materials before becoming part of Chemtros Co., Ltd.

Chemtros Founded

Chemtros Co., Ltd. was founded in March 2006 as a synthesis research-focused company, launching its organic synthesis business to manufacture and supply customized intermediates across a range of industries.

Acquisition of Sampoong Pharm

In 2010, Chemtros Co., Ltd. acquired Sampoong Pharm Co., Ltd. to grow into a synthetic chemical company with its own production facilities.

Acquisition of Dongbu Electronic Materials’ Polymer Business

In March 2015, Chemtros Co., Ltd. acquired the polymer business of Dongbu CNI Co., Ltd., and all related products and services have since been provided under the Chemtros Co., Ltd. name.

10th Anniversary of Chemtros Co., Ltd.

Marking our 10th anniversary, we laid the foundation for growth through accumulated organic synthesis technology and continuous innovation.

Chemtros Co., Ltd. Listed on KOSDAQ

Backed by stable revenue and continuous growth, Chemtros Co., Ltd. listed on KOSDAQ on October 11, 2017, and will continue to do its utmost for quality improvement and customer satisfaction.

Completion of Jincheon Plant

The Jincheon plant was completed on October 25, 2019, and will produce a range of products, including electronic materials, to drive our next stage of growth.

Integrated R&D Center established (within Convergence Materials Plant 2)

In June 2024, we completed the new Jincheon plant, built out production facilities for semiconductor materials, and began product manufacturing.

Achieved Process Safety Management (PSM) P-grade for 2025 (2024–2028)
